Hello INE fans!

You might have noticed we stalled new video production for the last week.

Two reasons:

1) We are busy in bootcamps around the world right now. Always good. :-)

2) For each new video series, we wanted to incorporate all of the great feedback we received on these products. I presume that since the Advanced Technologies Series is legendary in the CCIE Training space, this helped to generate what seemed to be a mountain of opinions on the “new and improved” edition.

After meetings and much discussions on the absolute greatest new products we could create, we are now back to “shooting videos” on a daily basis. Check your accounts for new lessons appearing DAILY. Of course we still want your feedback so keep it coming, but I think you are going to be very impressed with the new lessons!

Also, many students have asked about the “old” or shall we say “classic” ATCoD and if it will be removed once we are complete with the new materials. The answer is NO. If you want nostalgia, want a different “take on the technologies”, or just want to hear a different voice, you will always be able to access the classic ATCoD.

I cannot wait to “see you” in class, and as always, thank you for choosing INE.

    Hey Anthony,

Any chances of an new CCIE-sec bootcamp getting recorded?

    Cheers

  3. Amit Chopra says:

Anthony – much welcome step , really appreciate and I hope we will get a much better version now.

  4. @TacACK

That is an awesome idea – we need to schedule an online version and record it. That should be simple for us to do.

    Thanks!

  5. @Nadeem

Thank you so much for helping to make the Video Companion product so excellent!

  6. Rizzo says:

    Really Nice

Please do the same for Security Track!
CCIE Security material is also waiting for your attention.

  7. TacACK says:

Thanks Anthony. I’m going through the bootcamp right now. Now in Day 2/5 :)

    @Anthony

    A couple of questions, sir:

    1. Will these videos continue in the same format as the existing V4 videos that you, Keith, and Marvin have produced so far – the Adobe Captivate files?

    2. Will you guys please continue breaking them down by topic (like you have done for the V4 videos?) I understand that you will have to do some editing to do this, but you guys added HUGE value by breaking the videos down in the chunks like you have for the V4 ATC link. Can’t thank you enough for breaking them down like that.

    3. I think you guys should do a poll of your customers to see how many would love the Vol 1 workbook in Video companion type of format. I retract what I said before….I would pay some serious money to have that, and I’m sure most others would too.

    Thanks in advance!

Can’t wait for the Voice DVD! Esp with commute times of 3+hours I Would love to listen to Josh’s voice :)

  10. @Chewie

    1. We are sticking with Adobe Captivate – but we have taken steps to optimzie the file sizes to make them smaller. This means a shorter download time – then the totally smooth playback with no sycnh issues or anything like that.

    2. We are going to be breaking down things even more granular! I find so many times in a bootcamp that a student wants a quick review of a topic – for example, they are overall awesome at Multicast, but for Core Knowledge – they need a quick refresh on something like the PIM Assert process.

    3. Now that we have enhanced the Video Companion for V2, I think a Video Companion for V1 is a MUST. Once we get 4 or 5 labs into V2, we will look to start it. We may need to add staff. Always a good problem to have. :-)

  11. Lucho says:

The V1 and V2 Lab workbook are excellent products even when there could be some minor typos here and there.

The videos are of uneven quality, some would blow our minds and some are dull. Still I know of your interest in delivering outstanding products and no doubt you (instructors) will correct any deficiencies and give us the very best.

I do have a question which was not clear from your Blog entry. Are some of the not so good videos going to be replaced? And if that is the case how would we know? Will they have an indication, say a new date like the workbooks or a version number?

I joined everyone that has praised your effort in helping us achieve our goals.

    Thanks,

    Hi Anthony,

Thanks for listening and updating the AT COD.

I know you are busy trying to edit the RS Vol 1 and 2 Labs. When you are a little more caught up, can you please look at updating Vol 3 with MPLS, since speed is going to be a deciding factor in the Configuration section of the lab, and even more redistribution loops arising from VRF’s are going to slow down configuration section.

  14. Nadeem Rafi says:

    @ Anthony

Captivate is making life easier for so many of us. its smooth playing capability is awesome.

vol-1 companion will be great, as i know, vol-1 need more theory along with hands on, that will be a great product.

    @ Anthony

Putting the runtime into the summary field for each lesson was also a great idea in the new ATCoD. It really helps to plan study time. Keep up the good work.

  16. @Jochen – thanks so much my friend – enjoy your studies!!!!!!

  17. @jospehc

Yeah – we need to do that and we will.

    Thanks!!!!!!

  18. @Lucho

Yes – we will be re-recording the early ones, but that will be far off as we are going to do the new content first.

    Thanks Lucho!

    Antony,

Still new ATCOD series is lack of spirit. They only consist how to configuration that feature .We are expecting some deep knowledge not only configuration.

  20. Nadeem Rafi says:

    @ Anthony!
its good to see daily a new video in companion series. It keep me little busy.

  21. @Nadeem

Hello my friend – I cannot thank you enough for your edits on this project!

    You are the greatest!

  22. Marcel Lammerse says:

    Hi Anthony,

the video companion series is a great addition to my study materials and lab preparation. They’re easy to ‘digest’ and make for a welcome change from reading RFCs and configuration guides. Thanks for making this excellent product!

    Marcel
