Wow! I can’t believe we’re finally wrapping up this product release. It’s the longest online class we’ve ever done at just over 80 hours and at the end of the day we ended up with over 8TB (that’s 8000 gigabytes of video!) in raw format. We captured all of the video locally to the instructor in HD (720p). This allowed us to professionally edit all 150+ videos and make them available in various resolutions and formats. We are offering the videos in three 16:9 formats. The first is 640×320 and is designed for low bandwidth Internet connections and small portable devices. The second is 960×540 and is designed for standard Internet connections and tablet computers (iPad, etc). Lastly we offer a 1280×720 HD option for people with high bandwidth Internet connections and viewing on large screens (computer monitors, TVs, etc). All of the videos have a downloadable option for customers with access to them. If you’re interested in the downloadable version of the class the low bandwidth format is roughly 80 to 100MB per hour of video. The high bandwidth format is roughly 250 to 500MB per hour of video and finally the HD format is 1GB to 1.4GB per hour of video.

For our overseas customers we’ve purchased bandwidth and storage in datacenters located in Europe and Asia with our CDN to allow for faster streaming and downloads.

We’re starting to release more of the RS ATC videos by Wednesday with all of them being released by June 6th. Additionally all of the videos are being transcribed to allow for closed captioning and to allow searching within a particular video or all videos which enables us to link you to exactly what you are looking for. An audio version of the videos will also be available starting next week.

The next product for CCIE Routing and Switching that we’re releasing is the video from a live 12 Day Bootcamp taught by Petr and Brian McGahan. For CCIE Voice we’re releasing a totally new ATC done by Mark that is over 60 hours of content in HD. The videos from the latest CCIE Voice 5 Day Bootcamp that was held here in Seattle will also be available next week. While we’re on the topic of new videos we have a CCDE product being finalized for release, a new CCNA class coming out, more RS CCIE Deep Dives in the works and this is just what’s being released in the next 6 weeks!

The best news is that everyone with an All Access Pass subscription will have access to all of these new videos with their subscription. That’s a lot of value for just $159 a month or $1599 for a year’s access.

Oh, I almost forgot to include the link to the ATC sneak peek of the first five modules: : http://www.ine.com/aap-preview/

    This is epic :D

  2. Chris says:

    Hi Brian,

will this new ATC be made available for customers who purchased the CCIE R&S 4.0 Training Program a while back ?

    Thanks in advance

    Cheers
    Chris

  3. Daniel says:

Looks great! I’ll look into getting the all access pass since it’s not much more expensive than the ATC. Getting the all access pass will let us download the videos also?

  4. Ali says:

When are you going to update CCIE Security stuff ? :)

  5. Sanjeev Wije says:

Congratulations to the team at INE and Brian M in particular on this enormous effort!!

    - Sanjeev.

  6. Dan says:

    It’s a wonderful day!!! I’m watching them already! :)

Are additional videos going to be getting added daily or are the 5 that are available the only 5 until June 6th?

    Great work!

  7. marcin pawlos says:

    Hi ,

Wen it will be available to existing customers?

  8. Faisal says:

wht is cost for existing customers who have viewing of video streaming as part of CCIE RS end-to-end to purchase download of these videos.

    faisal

  9. Dan Devlin says:

Amazing content and delivery INE! Looking forward to being able to watch this on my iPad and not have to be at my computer.
    Well done.

    • @Dan Devlin – The videos work great on the iPhone and iPad. You can also download them and load them directly onto your device. The low bandwidth version will play on both the iPhone and iPad but the high bandwidth version is the best option for the iPad as it’s a larger resolution version.

  10. Michael says:

    Hi Brian,

I saw you mentioned the CCDE product, could you let me know more about it? Everything regarding your CCDE was gone at ine.com, could you let me know how was Petr’s May class?

    Thanks,

    Michael

    • @Michael – The CCDE videos of the live class will be released late next week for people with the All-Access-Pass. The CCDE live bootcamp page was removed as we don’t plan on running any more live bootcamps for CCDE but the self-paced page for the CCDE videos will be up either today or Monday. After edits the total duration of the CCDE will end up being roughly 28 hours.

  11. John Smith says:

    Hi Brian,

Content looks fab. Looking forward to go through the material.

Whats the new CCDE product you are releasing?

Any early info you can provide?

    • @John Smith – See my comment to Michael in regards to the CCDE class.

      • John Smith says:

        Thanks,

How come you won’t be doing any more CCDE classes? What happened? No word from Petr on his may class, all very quite..

Seems like the product is dead in the water before its even released? Have you a roadmap or is it a ‘one off’ for this track?

Any plans for CCDE written product?

        Thanks…
        John

        • @John Smith – The market is really small for the CCDE and there isn’t enough demand to run classes on a regular basis. We ran the one class mainly to give people with All Access Pass subscriptions access to the videos.

      • Kenyonej says:

        Hi Brian,

Just was wondering if you plan to go for the CCDE. I think all the questions I had about the new ATC for CCIE R&S have been answered. Thanks.

  12. Peter walkins says:

    Hey brian,

How come no more CCDE classes. I was hoping to attend the next one you ran.

    The r&s material seems excellent.

Well done and to the other brian also

    Take care
    Peter.

    • @Peter walkins – There isn’t a big enough demand to keep running the classes. We filled up the last one but the demand has fallen off as we expected. There will be a video version of the one ran by Petr available soon.

  13. ccieanna says:

    Hi Brian

    This is awesome.

But there is no good Security CCIE ATC in the market.

5 days class is good. But if you plan a brand new Security ATC then that will add real value.

    Please consider this

  16. Mike says:

    ^ Available when?

  17. Ash says:

Guys you are doing us a world of good! Many thanks for your efforts!

  18. ccieanna says:

  24. Dan says:

Were the first 40 hours released this weekend? I can’t find them…

    Thanks,

    • @Dan – After working over the holiday weekend here in the US (after midnight now) we ran into a small but important issue with the new site release. While we work out the issue we’re going to just put the new video player on the current members site as a temporary fix and give everyone access from there. We’ll have it ready tomorrow by lunch (-7 GMT).

I previously purchased CCIE R&S 4.0 Training Program and I am having the same problem as John were I can view the free samples but not the rest of the classess.

        Harless

        • Hi Harless,

I know that Brian and the team were up late working on this issue, and are restarting efforts to fix this issue very early this morning, as well.
Please look to your account in the next few hours to see if there has been a change. Very sorry for the inconvenience. We certainly know that you and everyone else is very anxious to get started on this wonderful new class using this awesome new UI. Please bear in mind that this is the first class we have rolled out in this brand new AAP CDN format, so there are bound to be a few bumps in getting everything sorted, but also that all subsequent class rollouts should go very smoothly with this new format. Thanks very much in advance for you patience!

  29. Basel says:

I just bought this and the new videos are not there

  32. Dan says:

Are the videos working on other people’s iphone 4′s? The sample ones worked great a few weeks ago. Now I’m trying to play these and it just sits at a black video filler. I’ve tried adjusting Low, High, HD but no difference. Just wanted to throw this out there incase it’s a problem for everyone

    Thanks,
    Dan

    • They (all three resolutions) work just fine on my iPhone 3GS using WiFi, and the ‘Low’ version continues throughout the video to play really well using only the (US, AT&T) 3G network if I give it just about a minute at the beginning to buffer.

  33. Tariq Iqbal says:

Were the first 40 hours of the new ATC for Routing and Switching released? I cannot find the link on the members website.

  34. ccieanna says:

I think most of them are confused as I was :)

There are 2 parts to it

    1) The All Access Pass is an advertisement so you will not find the new videos there

    2) If you want videos then go to videos under subscription and then
    click CCIE R and S 4.0 videos

It is still in old format.

Thanks to Customer service for getting this clarified

Hope it is migrated to new format very soon

    Regards

    • @ccieanna – You should have access to both by now. Send me an email directly if you don’t and I’ll make sure someone looks into your account first thing in the morning.

      • Christopher says:

        HI Brian,

i am having the same issue as ccieanna.

The Modules were added on the subcriptions list in the old Adobe Connect Format.

I do have a new link to the ATC under the section “Recent All Access Pass Additions”

However, i am only able to view the free samples and on all other modules it says i have to buy the all access pass to view the content.

How can we resolve the issue ?

        Thanks in advance,

        Kind regards,
        Christopher

    Dear Brian,

I have old format of videos listed in my member account for all 17 days.

A new link is added to my account and it is labelled

    CCIE R&S v4.5 Advanced Technologies Video-on-Demand

When i click on any video other than free sample it redirects me to purchase link for all access pass.

On the contrary I had purchased download option for NEW CCIE R&S ATC Videos few days back.

Please advise on how to download new videos.

    Faisal

    Congratulations with the release!
This must have been a massive amount of work combined with a maximum level of excellence!

  38. DennisD says:

The link for the new streaming course is not under Courses/Video on Demand where one might expect it to be when logging into their members account. IE, replacing the old link and archiving the old link.

Look for a heading above that called:
    Recent All Access Pass Additions
    CCIE R&S v4.5 Advanced Technologies Video-on-Demand

It would be less confusing if INE replaced the old course link with the new one.

    • Hi Dennis,

Thanks for the tip to the others parsing these comments. We thought about simply replacing the old link, however that presents it’s own challenges as well, such as the fact that since we are still running our huge video render farm at 100% capacity, and rendering out videos as fast as we possibly can, we still don’t have the rest of the videos for this class rendered yet for the new AAP / CDN UI format (we are about 50% complete), and then we of course must FTP all those videos (in triplicate, being we have 3 resolutions/sizes) up to the CDN, and that of course takes time. So the reason for offering the older Adobe Connect format in the meantime was to give folks who really wanted to skip ahead (or were pulling all-night Brian McGahan video-watching marathons) the chance to have all of the content immediately.

Thanks very much in advance for you patience!

  39. DennisD says:

    Clarification to my last comment:
Courses/Video on Demand/CCIE Routing & Switching Advanced Technologies Video-On-Demand has been updated to point to the new Adobe Streaming link.

  40. AdamV says:

I’m getting this error when clicking on the link:

    hi Brian,
doing SP ATC means INE will have the new SP RACKs, will INE make the new SP topology part of the RACK rental?

  42. Ahmed says:

    dear Brian,

i want to know if there is table of content anywhere for brian Mcgahan new ATC VoD classes as it only mentions day 1 part 1 , day 2 part 2 etc without actually specifying the topic , please help thanks !!

  43. Caue says:

Quick question… The product description is:

CCIE R&S Advanced Technologies Class Download
    SKU: IEATC-RS-COD-DLC
One time download available June 10th.

That means, I can only download it one time, and that´s it?! So, if I choose to download the low-bandwidth version, and decide later to get the High Quality one I will not be able to?!

Or if I loose my Hard drive, I will not be able to download the contents again?!

Can you pls explain a little better what this “One time download” means?!

    Thanks!

    • @Caue You’ll be able to download it whenever you are ready and there isn’t a time limit to download all of the files. Each download link can be used twice and then it expires. We’ll be making an announcement soon regarding the details of the downloads.

  44. Christopher says:

    Hi Brian/Mark,

    thanks for the info.

It is now working properly with the new format.

    Cheers,
    Chris

    Brian,

Could you let me know if the CCDE materials is available?

    Thanks,

    Michael

  46. Tariq Iqbal says:

    Hello Brian,

I am playing the new ATC class on my IPAD V1 and numerous times the video froze. If the video freezes in Medium quality version, I then go to either low or HD version and I play the video from the point it was frozen. Please advice.

  47. Sanjeev Wije says:

Hi Brian/Mark – I am unable to access the new class on a Droid X phone from Motorola.

1 – Is this an issue you are aware of?
2 – I purchased the download option – could you please let me know when the videos will be available for download?

    Thanks – Sanjeev.

  48. JosephC says:

Just to report it is working now on ASUS eee Pad Transformer running Android Honeycomb 3.1.

    Thanks, Brian D.

  49. vicky says:

    Hi Brian,

Is the CCDE and New Voice ATC available for all access pass

    regards

    • @vicky – Yes they will be included. The Voice ATC is being released tomorrow (Friday June 17th) and the CCDE is a couple weeks.

      • vicky says:

        Hi Brian,

that was quick, you mean friday 17th june, also are you sure the CCDE will make it in 2 weeks times, as per previous comments it should have come in may or early june

        • @vicky – Yes tomorrow for the Voice ATC. The CCDE got pushed back with the release of the RS ATC and Voice ATC as we have far more demand for those classes. The post production team has now moved onto the 12 Day RS BC and the 5 Day Voice BC. They both are about 75% done. Once those are finished the CCDE will be next.
