Per an announcement made on the Cisco Learning Network today, the Core Knowledge sections of the CCIE Security and CCIE Storage Lab Exams have been removed.

Effective August 15, 2011, CCIE Security Lab Exam and CCIE Storage Networking Lab Exam, in all global locations, will no longer include the four open-ended Core Knowledge questions.  The removal of Core Knowledge questions allow candidates to utilize the total lab time for configuration and troubleshooting. The total lab time will remain eight hours.

    YAHOO !!!! . I was expecting outline changes but its really nice that they only removed the Questions and the outline is same . 8 hours for configuration and no troubleshooting like in R&S right ? or there will be 2 hours of troubleshooting .

    Do hope TS is removed from RS track and is part of Configuration section. The separate TS section with a time bomb is really not fare on cisco’s. Many candidates have failed cause of this. It is just not real life by any standards.

    People clear the Config but lose on TS cause its really a test on time, your patience to get the right debug commands in the right time…oh well, I guess who have cleared will always say TS is required.

    Dear sir,

    I have my lab exam scheduled on November 14 2011 . Although I am almost set for the exam i have heard that some trouble shoot part has been added to the exam post 15 August 2011.. any comments ??
