Cisco Closes CCIE Labs Until Further Notice-UPDATE

Breaking news regarding Cisco Labs and Exams.

Cisco has announced that all CCIE testing facilities will remain closed through May.

Due to the continued spread of COVID-19, Cisco is closing all CCIE lab testing centers. If you already had an exam scheduled, Cisco will contact you with more information.

If possible, the labs may reopen on April 26th, giving candidates one last day to take the current exam. However, the transition to the new exams will still take place on April 27th.

What Does This Mean for You?

First and foremost, please continue to follow the current recommendations, including social distancing and frequent hand washing, to keep yourself and others safe. Also, please consider contributing to the aid efforts currently in place to provide those in need with necessary medical supplies and support. Moving forward with your own CCIE aspirations can continue as planned. Here are some important facts to keep in mind:

Only the CCIE Lab Exams and certification migrations are affected. The new written core CCIE exams are now live.
The current CCIE Lab Exams will be available to take through April 26th, should it be possible to reopen the labs.
The new Recertification Policy is now in effect.
If you've already scheduled a new CCIE Lab Exam for anytime between February 24th and April 26th, you will need to reschedule for April 27th or after.
If you do choose to reschedule, the rescheduling fee will be waived.
